I design and make custom pieces for women attending weddings, milestone celebrations, and formal events.  Every stitch created in my private Melbourne Studio.

I specialise in working one-to-one with clients, designing and creating custom pieces for weddings and special occasions. With years of experience as a couture designer and dressmaker, I guide each client at every stage, from the first conversation through to the final fitting.

MOTHER OF THE BRIDE & GROOM

Custom gowns designed for mothers who want to feel comfortable, confident, and appropriately dressed on their child's big day.

Each piece is created with careful attention to fit, movement, and balance,.

You'll be guided through the design and fitting process one to one with Mel.

WEDDINGS

A limited number of custom wedding gowns are taken on each year. Work begins well ahead of the wedding date so there is time for fittings, adjustments, and the gown to take shape properly.

TAILORING

Alterations services are available for special occasion wear and select Bridal garments that require care and attention to fit.

​

All work is assessed by appointment, with timelines discussed before any alterations begin.

ABOUT MEL

I'm Mel, the designer and dressmaker behind Mel Rose Couture. I work independently from my Melbourne studio, creating custom pieces for weddings and special occasions and guiding each client through the process personally.

I take on a limited number of commissions at a time so each piece receives the attention it needs.
