Dedication to keeping the art of couture alive, and wanting to bring the charm of bespoke fashion to individual clients, Mel Rose Couture was established in 2006.
Quickly becoming sort after for brides and special occasion clients, Mel Rose Couture's designs portray the quiet elegance the label is known for, and works to enhance the individual and natural beauty of each client.
Mel Rose Couture's 2018 Collection, Simple Love, was the first to be launched. Each piece being designed and created by designer Mel herself.
Mel Rose Couture launches it's latest collection, Alchemy.. a bridal separates collection to coincide with its 15th anniversary in February 2021.
The Designer
Ever since I can remember I have had a passion for creating garments. I love feeling of the luxurious fabrics slipping through your hands as you stitch together the seams, that will turn flat pieces of fabric into a beautiful piece of clothing. The way an embellishment can totally transform a gown, bodice, or jacket from a basic garment into something truly special. The way seams can not only work as a function, but a design element.
Opening Mel Rose Couture was a way to share my passion for couture with my clients. To give them a beautiful experience and keep alive a tradition that is slowly dying out.
The Studio
Handmade in Melbourne Australia, each bespoke garment is created by Mel personally.
Sourcing high quality fabrics from local and interstate businesses, Mel utilises her skills in design, pattern drafting, and couture techniques, to create beautiful, stunning garments for all Mel Rose Couture clients.
Working by appointment only to ensure that each client is given undivided attention during their couture journey.
